Terrible Twosday (Not Just For Two Year Olds!)

As well as an obsession for remote controls and mobile phones, Bob also has taken quite a shine to baby wipes. When she sees the packet her eyes light up! I don’t know why I waste my money on toys! If she is lucky enough to get hold of a packet she starts pulling out the wipes one by one. Usually she is intercepted quite quickly but the other morning a parcel arrived. By the time I got back into [click here to read on]

Fancy Dress Fun!!!

Taking part in the My Difficult Dozen meme has inspired me to share with you my fancy dress creations. The Marshmallow Man My best work to date. Made by attaching 5kg of marshmallows to a boiler suit. Thought that this was a good idea at the time but, after wearing it for a few hours my shoulders really hurt!                     Ron Weasley With my trusty sidekicks Harry and Hermione. I didn’t really want to go abroad this year. I was quite happy to wait until Bob was older and just enjoy time at home and trips to the seaside. My husband felt differently. He was desperate for a holiday! After much nagging I agreed. We have booked to go away when Bob is 11 months old and I am already panicking! Besides not being too thrilled about being in a swimsuit with my new found baby belly, I am [click here to read on]

Terrible Twosday (Not Just For Two Year Olds)

It’s TWOSDAY!!! How exciting!!! I have been looking forward to this all week! Was tempted to change it to Terrible Twursday so that it would arrive sooner but that just wouldn’t have had the same ring. ;o) Without further ado, here is my first Terrible Twosday post. Bob has always taken an unhealthy interest in mobile phones and remote controls. (She obviously takes after her father!) When she was stationary it was easy to keep them out of her reach. How Bob Came To Be (Not The X-Rated Version!)

Since my 12 week scan the baby in my tummy was called Bob. This is partly my fault but it is mostly thanks to my friend Catherine. Although it was lovely to look at the scan picture, I couldn’t help thinking that my baby looked like a blob. (Does this make me a bad mother? – See blob below!)  After telling Catherine this she announced that, from now on, my baby would be called Bob. Bob the Blob. This nickname [click here to read on]

Our Funny Valentine

As Bob was ill on February the 14th, we decided to postpone Valentines Day until Saturday. When I was planning Valentines Day, Bob was going to sleep in her cot for a couple of hours at the beginning of the night.  With this in mind, I planned a romantic indoor picnic.  I bought Pink Fizz and lots of goodies, including a giant chocolate pizza.  I had only meant to order a small one but I didn’t notice the size [click here to read on]

Let Sleeping Babies Lie

Did you sleep with your baby?  I managed to not sleep with Bob for the first week of her life.  I very cleverly sidestepped this by not sleeping! No matter how long Bob had been asleep for and how carefully I put her into her Moses basket she woke up.  I told my midwife and she came to help to try and settle her. After about 2 hours of trying she gave up.  I am glad that this happened as [click here to read on]
