Last weekend Skipton held it’s annual gala. We only moved here at the end of last year so we weren’t sure what to expect. The fun started with a parade through the town centre. Lots of local businesses drove floats through the town and many people threw sweets out into the crowd. We happened to be surrounded by grown ups so Bob was very lucky! My nephew came to stay with us at the weekend and we decided to take him and Bob pony trekking. Bob has ridden a Shetland pony before but she has never been on a proper trek. There is a place near us called Kilnsey Park and there is a trekking centre nearby. I rang up to book the shortest ride they did. Our week has been full of smiles! It was Bob’s 4th birthday on Monday and she has had a wonderful birthday week! On Sunday we had a Disney Princess Party. We hired the village hall and I planned lots of activities for the children. I have so many photos and posts to share with you over the next couple of weeks. On Wednesday I went to watch Bob’s nursery perform their summer concert. It had a fairy tale them me and they told us 3 stories, The Enormous Turnip, Goldilocks & the 3 Bears and The 3 Little Pigs. This week we have been making lots of icing creations. Next weekend there are 2 special birthday parties and I am attempting to make 2 cakes. Bob has been ‘helping’ me. Most of the time she just made a mess. It kept her entertained though. One day, when I was making an icing bee hive, Bob sat with me and worked really hard to make one of her own.
