Bob and I are reading The Wishing Chair together before she goes to bed. I love Enid Blyton and I love being able to share them with my daughter. She seems to enjoy each chapter and she understands that we can’t read the whole book in one night. She also doesn’t seem to mind the lack of pictures. At first she would ask where the pictures were but I explained that you didn’t get as many images in the more [click here to read on]
I am so proud of my little superstar! This week was her school’s nativity. Bob was off school ill all last week so she missed lots of the rehearsals. I went to watch the dress rehearsal on Monday and she was amazing! She played a camel, had some lines and had to perform a song and dance. She was also giving a little duet in the final song, Away In A Manger. You couldn’t tell that she had missed rehearsals. [click here to read on]
One of my best friend’s is getting married in January and she has asked Bob to be her flower girl. She sent her a beautiful card with a message asking if she would be their flower girl and explaining what that would entail. Bob tried to read the card but she got a bit confused so I helped her. Please excuse the messy background and the messy Bob. She had been very busy at school! Here is her reaction. If [click here to read on]
On Thursday we went to my grown up baby girl’s first parents evening at school. I was unsure what to expect. She can sometimes be a little madam at home but I only ever heard glowing reports from nursery. I used to pick up a highly praised angel who would have a melt down in the car soon after we had left. It was quite confusing. Her teacher started by saying how lovely she was. I breathed a sigh of [click here to read on]
I would have loved this week’s Share A Smile to be the post about how well my daughter is doing with learning how to read and write but I have already published that one. This week has been a busy one and it seems to have passed by in a blur. I can’t believe Bow is 7 weeks old today! He has been treating us to many more of his adorable smiles and he has starting talking to us. He [click here to read on]
The other day Bow smiled for the first time! We have had wind smiles and REM smiles which were lovely (you can see the gorgeous REM smile that I captured here) but this one was a real smile! It was morning and I was laid in bed with him talking to him. All of a sudden he grinned at me. It was such a lovely smile that reached all the way to his eyes! Shortly afterwards Bob woke up and [click here to read on]
At the moment our nights are horrendous. We are lucky if Bow feeds every 2 hours. We are even luckier if he settles after his feed. If he feeds for 30 minutes and then settles quite quickly we get just over an hour before he needs feeding again. If we are unlucky he feeds more frequently and doesn’t settle between feeds. He is not very well at the moment. He has a cold and he is struggling to breath through [click here to read on]
