Friends Reunited

A couple of months ago we were invited to the opening of a new Beano themed play area at the Old Brickworks Brewers Fayre near Bradford. Bob had an amazing time and she has loved Dennis the Menace and Gnasher ever since. She has fond memories of the day and is always asking if we can meet Dennis again. When we were invited to the opening of the new play area at the Dalesway Brewers Fayre in Keighley I knew [click here to read on]

Disney Princess Party - Invitations

As you may have guessed, I love party planning! Bob has had a themed party every year. Even for her first birthday when she was too young to really know what was happening. We had a teddy bears picnic. I bought a gorgeous fabric tea set and a picnic set and my friend knitted lots of party food. When Bob was 2 we had a clown party. Bob was old enough to understand birthdays by now so we had themed [click here to read on]

Share A Smile - How Not To Roll Your Tongue

The other week the subject of rolling your tongue came up. I can roll mine but Michael can’t. I was curious to know if Bob could. She tried and tried but she couldn’t do it. I am not sure if this is because she takes after Michael or because she is too young to do it. I don’t know what age it is possible from. Since then Bob has been trying. Most days, as she pulls some crazy faces, she [click here to read on]

The Size Of A Banana

Pregnancy Catch Up 20 weeks pregnant – our baby is the size of a banana This week’s fruit doesn’t make much sense when you compare it to the surrounding weeks. After a bit of research I realised that it is because some weeks are measured by weight and some by length. We had fun with our banana baby this week. Bob enjoyed making banana smiles… …and I enjoyed playing rock-a-bye banana. 🙂 I think baby brain is definitely in full [click here to read on]

Share A Smile - Struggling

I am struggling to find a Share A Smile this week. My husband is crazy busy at work at the moment. He hasn’t had a day off in a month and he is working 15 hour days. We have forgotten what he looks like! I have reached the stage of pregnancy where it starts to beat me. I am really struggling with acid reflux and hoping it doesn’t end up hospitalising me like it did when I was pregnant with [click here to read on]

Pregnancy Diaries - 20 Weeks

This post was written on the 11th May As you may remember from a previous post, I have been able to feel the baby move since I was around 12 weeks. For the last couple of weeks I haven’t felt any movement. I can’t help worrying! I have my next scan on Thursday and I am hoping that everything will be alright! I never felt huge movements but I felt flutters every evening. I am now at the stage where [click here to read on]

Bob's Best Friend

When we are talking about our family if I say there will soon be 4 of us Bob corrects me. ‘5,’ she says. ‘Me, you, daddy, baby & Sally.’ She is right! Sally is definitely one of the family! I don’t know where we’d be without her! Bob is always playing with Sally and saying she is her best friend. I sometimes worry that Sally must be getting fed up so I separate them but she just goes back for [click here to read on]
