Pregnancy Diaries - 29 Weeks

Written on the 13th July On Tuesday I went for the glucose intolerance test. They didn’t test me for gestational diabetes when I was pregnant with Bob. Four years ago the people in my family that had diabetes were over a certain age. Now my sister has it and, as she is still a spring chicken, they said I would have to be tested. I was dreading the drink that the give you as I had heard it was awful! [click here to read on]

The Size Of An Aubergine

Pregnancy Catch Up 28 weeks pregnant – Our baby is the size of an aubergine This week’s vegetable makes me smile. We eat aubergine occassionally but when I hear it’s name it makes me laugh. When I was younger this vegetable was responsible for me mixing up song lyrics and embarrassing myself. I love Elton John and I thought I knew most of the words to his songs. Unfortunately I didn’t realise that Marilyn Monroe’s real name was Norma Jean. [click here to read on]

Pregnancy Diaries - 28 Weeks

Written on the 6th July My sister bought me a 4D scan for my birthday. I was really pleased as I had one done when I was pregnant with Bob and I wanted to do the same with baby number 2. We took Bob with us as I wanted her to have a nice scan experience after the horribleness of our 20 week scan. It was lovely to see our little man! We also had it fully confirmed that he [click here to read on]

The Size Of A Cauliflower

Pregnancy Catch Up 27 weeks pregnant – Our baby is the size of a cauliflower I have heard the expression cauliflower ear before but I am not sure I have heard the expression cauliflower head. ๐Ÿ™‚ Bob’s photo bombing really makes me smile!  Bob likes cauliflower. I prefer it smothered in cheese sauce but for some reason she prefers it plain. Strange child. At 27 weeks our baby can breath. He is not breathing air he is breathing amniotic fluid [click here to read on]

Pregnancy Diaries - 27 Weeks

Written on the 29th June I stupidly thought that I could avoid buying maternity clothes this time around. They are so expensive and you only get to wear them for a short amount of time and I couldn’t help thinking that they were a waste of money. I have plenty of dresses that were a couple of sizes too big when I became pregnant and I thought that these would fit me throughout my pregnancy. I was wrong. They may [click here to read on]

The Size Of A Lettuce

Pregnancy Catch Up 26 weeks pregnant – Our baby is the size of a lettuce Bob isnโ€™t usually a fan of lettuce. Whenever we have salad she will happily eat everything except the lettuce. Today, for some reason, she decided she really liked it. So much so that she tried to take a bite out of the whole lettuce whilst I was still taking photos. ๐Ÿ™‚ I thought she was tricking me but, when I had finished with the lettuce, [click here to read on]

Pregnancy Diaries - 26 Weeks

Written on the 22nd June We had a scare on Saturday. It all started at a children’s party at a soft play centre. I was walking along when all of a sudden the back of my skirt was wet. My bag was hanging down my back and there was a bottle of water in it so I assumed this was leaking, it wasn’t. I looked around and I couldn’t work out were the wetness had come from. Luckily my leggings [click here to read on]
