For the last couple of weeks we have been reviewing Water Wipes. I first heard about these about a year ago. My goddaughter had very sensitive skin and they are the only brand of wipes that my friend could use on her. I was interested to try them and see what they were like.
Water wipes are chemical free and the moisture is 99.9% water. The other 0.1% is fruit extract.
I have used a pure wipe before and I didn’t like their texture. They fell apart as you pulled them out of the packet. I was expecting water wipes to do the same but I was pleasantly surprised. The wipes don’t differ much in texture to ordinary wipes, if anything they are thicker and nicer to touch.
Bow was pooing around the clock when I started using these wipes. He sometimes had a red bottom. I am not sure if this was because of his poo or because of the brand of wipes that I was using but now his bottom is rarely red. Instead of pooing little and often he now has a poopsplosion once a day. This may have helped the redness but I think the wipes have helped too.
Not only are these wipes good for nappy changes, they are great for using on Bow’s face. He has mild baby eczema and I feel better wiping his face with these than with regular baby wipes.
I wish I had know about these wipes when I came home from the hospital. They would have been perfect for me to use to clean up around my stitches. I wouldn’t have trusted many wipes in that area after Bow’s birth but I think these would have been fine for me to use. Unfortunately I won’t be able to test this theory as I am never going through that again. It’s a good job these babies are worth it! 🙂
