Party Plate

I am quite behind when it comes to blogging at the moment. Life has been a whirlwind and I am not sure where the months are going! I have many lovely photos to show you from Bob’s Woodland Fairy Party. My wonderful friend Emily took them for me as I am always running around like a headless chicken at Bob’s birthday parties. She took some amazing ones which I can’t wait to share with you! Bob was sent a special [click here to read on]

Pregnancy Photo Shoot - Letter Fun

Here are some more photos from my friend’s pregnancy photo shoot. I love using props in my photographs and my favourite things at the moment are letters. I have several types of wooden alphabet blocks and I also have the colourful magnetic letters. We used some of my wooden blocks in the photo shoot and had lots of fun! We played around with names, including my friends nickname whilst she was pregnant. Then things took a turn for the silly. [click here to read on]

Antiguan Fruit Cake

I will always have a soft spot for Antigua! My husband and I spent our honeymoon there and we had a wonderful time! When Betfair asked me to create a recipe using one of the countries competing in the Commonwealth Games as inspiration, I am embarrassed to admit that I didn’t know who these countries were. When I saw Antigua on the list I knew that this was the one! I tried to think of all of the things that [click here to read on]

Why Family Portraits Matter

Everybody knows that taking family photos is important. It’s why challenges like the Me and Mine Project are so worth doing. It makes you wonder though—we all know that family portraits and photos in general are important…but do we know why? How To Make Icing Roses

The ‘proper’ way to make icing roses takes a long time. Using sugar paste you make a centre piece and attach it to a wire stem. You then have to leave that for a few days to dry completely. When it is dry you begin layering the petals until your rosé is complete. These look amazing for a wedding cake topper but they are not fully edible. When I was making the cake for my friends baby shower I wanted [click here to read on]

Are We Human Or Are We Parents?

Regardless of what people tell you, nothing can prepare you for how much life will change when you become a parent! There are the obvious things like the sleepless nights and the overwhelming responsibility but I also changed dramatically as a person. I went from being a fun loving, happy go lucky girl to a worrying wreck! I panicked about everything and I daren’t leave Bob’s side. When she had colic and would scream constantly for 4 hours I felt [click here to read on]

Online Window Shopping

Bob and I love Joules clothing. We both have their coats, their wellies and Bob has one of their snow suits. I would have one of these too if I could pull it off. I love their outdoor wear but I always thought that their other clothing was a bit too sporty for us. (I can’t really pull off that look either.) 🙂 When Joules asked me to create a mood board of their clothing I enjoyed searching their site [click here to read on]
