In our living room we have the most amazing armchair. It rocks and reclines and it is perfect when you have a newborn baby. You can rock them to sleep in it and then pop the legs up and have a snooze yourself. It has seen better days as we have had it for years but I love it too much to part with it.

The problem is that the sofa that matches it has also seen better days and it only has 2 seats. Whenever anyone comes to visit we do not have enough comfortable places for them to sit. If they are going to be staying for a while my husband carries in our other 2 seater settee from the play room. This is alright as a temporary solution but it looks mismatched and the last time he did it he nearly cost me my Christmas tree!

Michael and his dad were carrying the sofa into the room and Michael didn’t take into account the fact that there is less space now that our Christmas decorations are up. In a perfect ‘To me, to you‘ style moment the settee was dragged past the lower branches of our tree, knocking all of the decorations off it as it went.

I would love another sofa that could stay in our living room but I want to keep my trusty chair. I have struggled to find a match as it is not a colour that you see every day in the sofa world.

I then discovered Multiyork. They have a wide range of sofas and they allow you to choose your fabric. One of their fabrics matches my favourite chair! Not only have I found one sofa that will work I have found many!

It is a shame that I didn’t discover this site earlier. Then we could have had plenty of seating in time for the Christmas festivities. I guess for now Michael will still have to carry the other settee through. Please spare a thought for my Christmas tree!

  1.

We are on the lookout for a new sofa so I am definitely going to have to check this company out as I’m finding it so hard to find a nice one within our budget. x

I definitely need a new sofa, mine are almost 10 years old and sagging quite badly, so thanks for this post x

Those sofas look great – I have quite traditional dark brown leather sofas – they were cheap and to be fair are wearing well. They are wipe clean too – bonus with a tot (and teens!) Kaz x
