We have always shared things with Bob! I have known friends of mine purposely not share their food with a child so that they wouldn’t beg. When I first heard this, I thought it was a bit mean, as we were talking about a child, not a dog. Recently I have started to understand why they did this.

Bob enjoys sharing things with us and, even if we were eating/drinking something that was unsuitable for her, I would make sure that I had something else that I could give her. This has worked quite well until, on Saturday, I was enjoying a delicious Strawberry Daiquiri!

Bob wanted to have some and, obviously, I couldn’t share this. I offered her a drink but she wanted mine. (I don’t blame her. It looked really yummy!) We even got her a straw and a big girls drinking cup. This worked for a while but she really wanted my drink!

She gave an Oscar winning performance! Pretending that life, as she knew it, could not continue if she didn’t get to try my drink. She forgot one thing though. There was not a tear in sight! 😉

Did you spot the several cups that had been used as a distraction?

We are going to Menorca on Friday and I hope to be drinking scrummy cocktails whilst we are there. Hopefully the fact that we stuck to our guns and didn’t give in means that this won’t happen on holiday. I don’t want people to think that we have an alcoholic daughter!

I don’t regret sharing things with Bob. She is a major part of our lives and I would give her the world if I could! I may just have to invest in some non-alcoholic cocktails. 😉

If your little angels have grown horns this week, feel free to link up below.

Happy Tuesday!

    still a cutie tho

Funny – but she’s not fooling anyone! The little laugh was a bit of a giveaway too. We get pestered for anything we eat or drink nearly all the time – even when it’s exactly the same as what they have! They’ve got much better lately, though – growing up! Very cute vid 🙂

The sharing habit will come into its own when Bob craves a taste of your whitebait or broccoli spears. My kids are elaborately revolted by everything I eat because I was not wise enough to give them a taste of my own fare when they were little.

Ohhh it does look yummy I can see why she wanted it!!! Well done for not giving in to her but I love when you can tell a tantrum is all noise and no tears
