I think I may have terrified my friend. She is due to have a cesarean section tomorrow and last week Bow and I went to visit her.

She already has a son who is the same age as Bob, we met as our children attended the same nursery. She was pleased to finally meet Bow as the plans we have made since he was born kept getting cancelled. Bob was poorly, my friend had an appointment for an ECV as her baby flipped like Bow did and unavoidable things kept cropping up.

Bow was not in a very good mood. When we arrived he charmed everyone but shortly after the screaming started! He wouldn’t feed properly, he fought sleep and he was extremely grumpy.

I kept apologising and my friend told me not to worry. She smiled saying that peace would be restored later so it wasn’t a problem. She then realised that the peace may be permanently shattered on Wednesday.

She started to panic. She had forgotten how babies could be. I told her it to worry as all babies are different. I also explained that this was out of character for Bow. At home he is settled and happy. I could tell she was worrying about their new arrival though.

I wondered if Bow might be teething again. We have had a break from it for a couple of weeks so it was unexpected. I also wondered if he might be coming down with something.

We left early as things were getting stressful. He screamed all the way home and when our journey ended we were both quite stressed.

I don’t think there was anything particularly wrong with him. That afternoon he had a good sleep and some milk and he was back to his happy self. I think he is just a home bird.

my happy little choppy

We have enjoyed spending the days at home. We have lots of fun with his lovely toys and when he is asleep I sneakily play bingo, like the bingo at harrysbingo.co.uk. We walk to school twice a day and take Sally for a walk so we do get some fresh air. We prefer to spend the rest of our days safely at home.

This has worked well but now it is half term our routine has been broken and we are having to come to terms with the outside world. Wish us luck!

I hope your friend has a trouble free C-section, had 2 myself!

If she’s prepared for the worst then it’s just going to be what she’s expected or better x

Lol. I think babies all have their off periods. Well we’re going through a toddler one at the moment…! But they all revert back to their lovely selves again 😉

Aww I hope it goes okay for your friend. I would love to have kids someday but for some
Reason the idea of childbirth just terrifies me, it’s an unshakable fear that I have always had 🙁

I don’t think you can ever be prepared for what hits you when you have your first baby.
