My friend has recently had a baby boy. She now has 3 children under 4, I don’t know how she does it, she deserves a medal!

A few months ago I photographed her little ones for her. I have several photos that I want to share with you, including my troubles of getting a restless 18 month old to sit still, but for now I want to concentrate on her gorgeous baby boy.

He was born at 32 weeks and he had to stay in hospital for 2 and a half weeks. I went to visit him and I couldn’t believe how tiny he was! I still managed to make his smile though. Experts will tell you it was wind but what do they know? 😉

He struggled to keep warm, even when lying on a sheepskin so the hospital gave him a little hat. My friend nicknamed this his Compo hat as she thought it looked like something that Compo out of The Last Of The Summer Wine would wear.

When he was discharged from the hospital they let him keep the hat and my friend brought it along to our photo shoot.

I thought about how we could photograph him and I decided there was only one thing for it. We would have to put him in a bucket! 🙂

My sister bought me a tin bath a while ago and I thought it would be very I keeping with his hat. 🙂

He didn’t seem to mind.

In fact, I think he quite enjoyed it!
