Hair Raising Hair!

I had my hair cut and coloured for the first time in 6 months the other day and I can’t believe how much better it has made me feel! Before I became a mummy I would have my hair done every 2 months. Since Bob came along it is harder to arrange time and I worry about the money more so it doesn’t happen as often. I think 6 months is some sort of record though! I have even given [click here to read on]

The Book Of Everyone

I never know what to buy Michael for Christmas! His birthday is at the end of November and any ideas that I have are used for birthday presents. I try and get some ideas from him and sometimes just ask him outright what he would like but he can never think of anything. How on earth am I supposed to think of anything then! When I was contacted by The Book Of Everyone asking if I would like to review [click here to read on]

UK Holiday Destinations To Try In The New Year

The New Year is a time to tighten the purse strings and recover from the spending spree of Christmas. However, sometimes it is important to get away and escape the January blues. Luckily, you don’t have to spend a fortune to have a great New Years break. In fact, a short break in January or February provides a perfect opportunity to explore some areas of the British Isles which you may not have been to before. The weather may not [click here to read on]

Kind Words From Strangers

Bob is really testing me at the moment. Every little thing seems a struggle, even down to trying to get her to put her shoes on. I am hoping it is just a phase but it seems to be lasting forever! The other day Bob and I were in a cafe having lunch. I was struggling through the meal, not getting a minute to enjoy my food. ‘Sit still!’ ‘Eat your lunch!’ ‘Stop pouring your drink over the table!’ I [click here to read on]

Over 60,000 children live in foster care situations in the UK. Whether that is for a temporary time period or more permanent, lots of carers and children alike are finding the benefits of fostering. However, a lot of potential parents know very little about fostering apart from the basics. Fostering provides the same amount of care as adoption but in a lot of cases for shorter time scales and does not involve the wholesale legal changes which are brought about [click here to read on]

Ready For Winter

I can’t believe how cold it has turned and how quickly! I know I shouldn’t complain as we have been very lucky with the weather. We had some glorious sunny days in November. These icy winds are a shock to my system though. As a family we enjoy spending time outdoors and Sally wouldn’t let us stay inside. She needs her walks! This weather makes it harder to find our get up and go. Luckily Mountain Warehouse have kitted us [click here to read on]

An Edible Santa's Grotto

I like a challenge and I also like being creative so when I was asked by Mobile Mini to create a portable grotto for Santa that could fit inside a storage container I started thinking of what I could make. The example they gave was a simple idea, just to show us what sort of thing they were looking for.  I wanted to think of something unusual and, as usual, I got a bit carried away. 🙂 I love the [click here to read on]
