When it comes to clothes and getting ready my husband is worse than I am. He always leaves it until the last minute and then he never has anything to wear.

When I first met Michael the only colour in his wardrobe was black. I gradually introduced browns and navy blues to try and brighten things up a bit. 🙂

When House of Fraser gave me the opportunity to take Michael shopping I prepared myself for a challenge. Not only is he a pain in the bum when it comes to clothes, he also hates clothes shopping.

House-Of-Fraser

On Monday night Bob and I dragged him to Meadowhall. The House of Fraser at Meadowhall is a lovely store and it has many gorgeous products.

After a few minutes of wandering around the men’s wear department listening to Michael moan about the fact that he wouldn’t be able to find anything I almost made a run for the women’s wear section. I gritted my teeth and persevered.

I began with the easiest option, shoes. Who doesn’t like shoes? We managed to find Michael a pair of smart trainers that he was really happy with. He even managed a smile. 🙂 He has never before been known to smile in a clothing store!

Dressing-Daddy

Bob loved taking her daddy shopping. She kept showing him things and saying, ‘These will look nice Daddy.’

We then looked for some clothes. Michael half heatedly flipped through a few rails before declaring that there was nothing for him. Bob and I didn’t let him get away with it that easily! We found a few tops that we thought he would like and we bundled him into a changing room.

Michael liked one of the polo shirts that we picked out. He said that would be enough to buy and we were on our way to the checkout when he stopped to look at a jumper! I didn’t point it out to him. Nobody forced him to pick it up. He found it all by himself! I was so proud!

He tried it on and it looked lovely! It was also different from his normal dark colour palette.

We bought the clothes and Michael was really pleased with his purchases. He even said, ‘That wasn’t too painful.’

Last night I asked him to model his new clothes for me. After the usual protests he put them on and I think he secretly enjoyed our mini photo shoot.

I didn’t get many photos as after a few minutes he started sulking but he managed a smile and even started posing. 🙂

Thank you House of Fraser! I am hoping you have changed my husbands opinion of clothes shopping and that our next shopping trip will be just as enjoyable!

This review is brought to you in collaboration with House of Fraser.
