I love Halloween!

Even before I had children I loved dressing up and carving pumpkins! My favourite costume to date is when I stuck 5kg of marshmallows onto a boiler suit to be the Marshmallow Man! 🙂

Marshmallow

This costume was amazing but it wasn’t very practical. Having 5kg of marshmallows suspended from your shoulders becomes quite uncomfortable after awhile.

I was also quite fond of my pumpkin costume. I used the lycra wrapped hairstyle from my dancing days as inspiration for this costume.

I have also carved some pumpkins that I was very proud of. I have searched everywhere for photos of my creations but I can’t find them. You will just have to take my word for it that they were brilliant! 🙂 My favourite was a huge green striped pumpkin that was eating a small orange one. I am so sad that I have lost the photo!

Since having children the costumes and pumpkin designs have become much simpler. I don’t have time to make amazing creations.

As Bob and Bow get older I am looking forward to getting my Halloween mojo back. I can’t wait to make amazing costumes for them!

For now I am enjoying the new found fun that having children brings to Halloween. Trick or treating is amazing! Bob was a bit under the weather on Saturday and she didn’t want to go but she had an amazing time giving sweets to the trick or treaters that came to our house. We put a pumpkin on our garden wall to lure them in and they came in droves.

I can’t wait to go trick or treating around the village next year. I hope Bob wants to join me, otherwise I will look quite silly!

Oh wow I just love your Marshmallow man (or woman!) costume, that’s so awesome. And little Bob makes the cutest witch ever. I think the smell of the marshmallows would have me very tempted to rip one off 🙂
