Before we proceed, let us check why families and people in general choose to buy a big house.

* They grow too big for the smaller house.
* They acquire a raise at work.
* They are persuaded that they can afford to pay for it.
* They desire to show off to others.
* They believe having a big home is a fulfillment of their dreams.

Sometimes when no one tells you not to, you believe that you are doing the right thing, and that’s what happens to these people. They keep purchasing larger homes because no one gives advice about it. The culture calls on, “buy as much and as big as possible”. When they start earning money, they buy large home because they believe that is “what you are supposed to do”.

No one tells them that they must think through purchasing a house. Moreover, no one enlightens them about the benefits which can be obtained by living in a smaller house.

Here are some reasons why you’ll be delighted in acquiring a smaller house.

Fewer Debts
Different formulas are available for you to determine the amount of house you can afford. There are premises which tell you the percentage that would spend to pay your monthly loan. Having a smaller house gives you a lesser percentage. Why take the risk of spending greater amount if you can choose to spend less? House and land packages in Epping North, for instance, have smaller tier homes that you can choose from.

Stress-Free To Maintain31
When you have a smaller home, it won’t not require a huge amount of time and energy to sustain it. Just keep your home organized and orderly all the time.

Cheaper To Keep
Smaller homes are inexpensive, unlike larger ones. They also require fewer expenses of electricity, cooling, heating, taxes, etc.

Conserve Environment
The resources required for building a smaller home are obviously lesser. Lesser resources mean lesser trees to cut and fewer rocks to dig.

More Time For Your Own Leisure
Having a smaller home requires less maintaining, less time for cleaning saves your mental energy. It gives you a lot of time for your own leisure.

Bonds Family Together
In large homes, the big space can be a hindrance to keep the communication open. Smaller homes promote social interaction between the members of the family.

Lesser Baggage
Purchasing a small home forces you to get rid of the things that are not essential and stick to more important ones. It will make your house spacious and orderly.

Less Accumulating
Having a small home will limit you on purchasing a lot of things because you don’t have any room to place it. You will be less tempted to acquire a lot of stuff.

Fewer Decoration Expense
Some people enjoy decorating their home. They are fond of choosing furniture, light fixtures, room decorations and wall colour, which also brings them loads of expenses. Smaller homes will save you a lot of expense that you need for decoration.

Higher Probability For Acquisition
In the market, most potential buyers are attracted to homes which they can afford. A smaller house tends to be more affordable, so you’ll have more chances of selling in the future if you ever decide to.

Acquiring your own home is a personal decision. There are several variables that must be considered before making your final decision. Evaluate these considerations to help in your decision-making. Good luck!

This is an interesting post – I live in a tiny house with 3 kids so there are definitely pros and cons of small house living. You have to be very careful with the amount of stuff that you let in so it doesn’t feel cramped there are financial benefits. However there are also times when it feels like we are living on top of each other!
