My First Mothers Day

As my husband was working on Sunday we pretended that it was Mothers Day on Saturday. We had such a lovely day! It started with the delivery of some flowers and a balloon. I was then presented with a gorgeous card (which Bob had written in herself) and a charm for my Pandora bracelet. Bob had chosen the charm! Her favorite toy is a pink, musical teapot and my husband said that she rang him last week, when he was at [click here to read on]

Dear Bob (What I Would Like For Mothers Day)

Dear Bob, Just thought I’d send you a little note to remind you that it is Mothers Day on Sunday. I know that you are probably too young to understand but I thought that I’d give it a shot! I don’t need flowers, I don’t need chocolates, but if you (your daddy) wish to get some for me I won’t object. There is just one thing that I would really like! SLEEP!!! I know you find this very difficult but [click here to read on]

I didn’t really want to go abroad this year. I was quite happy to wait until Bob was older and just enjoy time at home and trips to the seaside. My husband felt differently. He was desperate for a holiday! After much nagging I agreed. We have booked to go away when Bob is 11 months old and I am already panicking! Besides not being too thrilled about being in a swimsuit with my new found baby belly, I am [click here to read on]

How Bob Came To Be (Not The X-Rated Version!)

Since my 12 week scan the baby in my tummy was called Bob. This is partly my fault but it is mostly thanks to my friend Catherine. Although it was lovely to look at the scan picture, I couldn’t help thinking that my baby looked like a blob. (Does this make me a bad mother? – See blob below!)  After telling Catherine this she announced that, from now on, my baby would be called Bob. Bob the Blob. This nickname [click here to read on]

Our Funny Valentine

As Bob was ill on February the 14th, we decided to postpone Valentines Day until Saturday. When I was planning Valentines Day, Bob was going to sleep in her cot for a couple of hours at the beginning of the night.  With this in mind, I planned a romantic indoor picnic.  I bought Pink Fizz and lots of goodies, including a giant chocolate pizza.  I had only meant to order a small one but I didn’t notice the size [click here to read on]

I was making our dinner on Thursday evening and Bob was happily playing in her activity centre in the kitchen.  Suddenly, out of nowhere (well out of her mouth, actually) Bob projectile vomited everywhere!  She has been sick before but I have never seen anything like this.  Her clothing, my slippers and the activity centre could not be saved! For the next hour Bob was very quiet.  We snuggled together, watching In The Night Garden.  I was glad that my [click here to read on]

Bye Bye Betty!

This is Betty, my beautiful Beetle.  I loved her very much and I did not want to part with her.  Although I was ready to have a baby, I was not ready to buy a Volvo and become a Soccer Mom. Convinced that she would be plenty big enough for me once my baby came along, I went on a hunt for the smallest pram in the world!  We went to a shop and tried every pram that they stocked [click here to read on]
