I hadn’t intended to take a long break over the holidays. I knew that I wouldn’t post anything on Christmas Day and Boxing Day but other than that I hadn’t given it much thought. Somehow I have accidentally taken 11 days off and it’s been wonderful! I have loved spending time with my little family!

visiting Father Christmas

I have been enjoying the moments and not grabbing my camera and thinking about my next blog post. Don’t get me wrong, I love my blog and I love recording all of our adventures but it has been nice to enjoy life in the here and now.

I have still taken some photos. Some moments were too cute to not record!

Christmas nap

Unfortunately Bob didn’t take as much time off as I did. There were many occasions where she asked me to take her photo. 🙂

leaving snacks for santa and his reindeer

We have baked lots of yummy Christmas treats and not once did I photograph each stage or write down the recipe. I just enjoyed baking with my little girl. I am now thinking maybe I should have photographed the steps that we took to create our gingerbread house as our stained glass windows were something special. We can always make it again though and I will look forward to enjoying each stage through the eyes of a blogger. When the house was built Bob decorated it all by herself. She then asked me to take her photograph with it. That girl is a workaholic!

I am looking forward to 2016 and seeing what it brings. Blogging has brought me many exciting opportunities and hopefully these will continue.

I have finally caught up with my pregnancy posts so this year will see our new addition grow. I have been writing a little update and having a mini photo shoot each month and I can’t wait to share these posts with you.

I had hoped that I would be able to share my birth story with you before I started writing about Bow’s development but I don’t know if that is going to be possible. I am still not in that place. It took me 8 months to be able to write about Bob’s birth and that is how my blog started. I thought I would be able to revisit Bow’s birth sooner as I already have a blog and I want to share my experience but I don’t think I am in the right frame of mind yet. It was a scary experience and not one that I am keen to revisit. One day I will try and write about it and maybe the words will just appear.

I am looking forward to 2016 and all it will bring. I hope it is a wonderful year for us all. Happy New Year! I hope 2016 brings you everything you wish for!

sparkler fun

Sparklers on New Years Eve

This is the first time we have let Bob have a sparkler. When Michael came home with them I panicked but she was very sensible.

Spend as much time with your kids as you can. They grow so quick. I think adults forget how quick, as we all look the same for years and years, whereas kids grow from a baby to a toddler and into a school child just within five years! It goes so quick. Enjoy every moment (obviously apart from tantrums …hahaha )
