Before Bob came along Valentine’s Days usually involved going out for a romantic meal. Now they are much more fun! Here is how my perfect Valentine’s Day would go.

1) Wake up and exchange handmade cards.
Bob would have helped me to make these the day before.

2) Spend the morning baking and decorating heart shaped cookies.
You know me, any excuse to bake!

3) Cut our lunchtime sandwiches into heart shapes.
Just because we can!

4) Craft something fabulous using lots of red and pink.
We use sticky, sticky glue (PVA) whenever possible! Bob gets very excited when we can use the sticky, sticky glue. It is much more fun than the sticky glue in a stick. 😉

5) Decorate the living room with hearts.
We would use the paper hearts that we had made and some shop bought Valentine decorations. If we could involve bunting that would be even better!

6) Prepare an indoor picnic for when Daddy gets home.
We love having indoor picnics! They have become a regular thing since Bob came along. It makes dinner much more special somehow.

7) Get Bob to sleep at a reasonable hour.
I am sure that she would be aware that it was a special day and try to stay awake until as late as possible but, seeing as this is my perfect Valentine’s Day I can have whatever I want!

8) Crack open the bubbles and watch a romantic film.
This would be even better if the bubbles were a bargain! Here’s an offer that allows you to save up to £38 on a 12 bottle case of bubbly. Collect Avios with Laithwaites.

9) Get a full night’s sleep!
I know this isn’t very romantic but I can’t remember the last time I had one of these! 🙂
