As you probably know, I love taking photos! My camera is never far from my side and I love capturing memories!

I also love having photo shoots.

I have a basic backdrop and some lights but I also love finding exciting locations. I am quite proud of some of the photos that I have captured outdoors.

I am obsessed with props and my spare room has been taking over with baskets, baby hats and wooden blocks. 🙂

I would love to learn more about photography as I lack confidence when it comes to the technical side of things. I have looked at online photography courses but they can be quite expensive and time consuming.

I also bought a book when I first bought my camera. It is called Nikon D5100 From Snapshots To Great Shots and I had every intention of reading it but again time got in the way.

When Photobox showed me their top tips for amateur photographers I was really impressed! It is an easy to follow guide with tips that are to the point. You can click on each tip to see an example photograph and more information. I love the ‘Don’t get too close’ photo!

I learnt a lot from the this as I am often quite quiet behind the camera and a couple of the tips advise you how and when to speak up. I also learnt about the best level to shoot from.

Here is an image with some portrait tips. It is different from the infographic on their site and it doesn’t have any extra information but I thought that I would include it to give you an idea.

I would love to have the time to take better/any photos. The ex had a decent camera and I loved taking photos on it. Maybe something to put on my future bucket list!!
