I have been saving this classic as it is my favourite! (Or is it? There are too many to choose from!) Anyway, I can’t wait any longer! I love it and I still know all of the words to the theme tune! It was first shown in 1984 and it only ran for a year. I am certain that it must have been repeated as I would have only been 4 then and I remember it like it was yesterday.

It is set in Scotland on the edge of a very famous stretch of water. There is still a lot if confusion surrounding this loch and what may or may not live beneath the surface. All that people have to do is watch this programme and then all of their questions will be answered!!! It is, of course, The Family Ness.

I have chosen to share the first episode with you, as this is where Angus and Elspeth first discover the Loch Ness Monsters. That’s right, there is more than one! As in The Poddington Peas, the Nessies are very cleverly named. There’s Clever Ness, Ferocious Ness and Her High Ness, to name a few.

This episode shows how they are discovered and how Angus and Elspeth are granted access to the Nessies whenever they need their help. If you remember the show, please sing along. Ready, 1, 2, 3,
‘Mctout blows on his bagpipes…’
