I have often wondered when Bob would start telling jokes. When do children find their sense of humour? Maybe some of them never find it. I know plenty of adults without one! 😉

Over the last week the joke telling has begun so, as you can guess, this week has been full of smiles! She doesn’t really understand how a joke works but she definitely makes us laugh!

The first joke she told came out of the blue and it went like this:

Bob: Why did the zebra cross the road?
Me: I don’t know, why did the zebra cross the road?
Bob: Because he wanted to get a banana on his head.

Ha! Ha! Ha!

I told you she was hilarious!

After she told a couple of jokes (all along the same sort of lines) I decided to tell her my favourite joke.

Me: What’s green and fluffy?
Bob: Looks around for a while and then points at her jumper.

Her jumper was turquoise and kind of fluffy so she definitely had a point. In an ideal world the joke would have gone like this:

Me: What’s green & fluffy?
Bob: I don’t know, what’s green and fluffy?
Me: Green fluff. What’s yellow and fluffy?
Bob: Yellow fluff.
Me: No, Green fluff in disguise!

After our attempts at comedy genius is was daddy’s turn.

Daddy: What’s brown and sticky?
Bob: Looks at Daddy like he’s very strange.
Daddy: A stick.
Bob: Continues to look at Daddy like he’s got two heads.

After Bob had digested this fine piece of comedy she looked around the room. Her eyes landed on her drink of water. ‘What’s watery and you drink it?’ She asked.

By Jove I think she’s got it! 🙂

…or maybe not…
