I wasn’t sure what to buy Bow for Christmas as he will only be 3 months old. At first I wondered about not getting him very much but I wanted to spoil him and I didn’t want Bob thinking that Father Christmas had put her brother on the naughty list. 🙂

I then realised that although he will only be 3 months old there will not be another present buying occasion until he is 1 year old so I decided to get him some toys that he will use before then. I bought him a shape sorter, some stacking rings and a star projector/lullaby hippo. I caved and started using the hippo one evening when I was struggling to get him to settle though. Oops.

I decided to buy him a Sit Me Up. He has started ‘sitting’ when you prop him up on the settee so I thought a sit me up would be perfect. Bob had a Bumbo but she only got a couple of months use out of it. Bow can use a sit me up from now until he is completely steady so I will probably use it as reassurance until he is about 9 months old. We have laminate flooring and when my friend visited with her 9 month old he lost his balance and banged his head. It sounded like it really hurt, bless him!

I have also ordered him some lovely books and a few new clothes. My mum has bought him a lovely Christmas baby grow which he can wear on Christmas Eve when we all wear out new pyjamas. I am also going to hang him a stocking on the fire place and pop a rate and a little teddy in it. Our stockings usually include an apple, an orange and some chocolates. Although Bow won’t be able to eat any chocolate I am sure he will enjoy the extra chocolaty flavoured milk that I’m producing. 🙂
