The Size Of A Turnip

Pregnancy Catch Up 25 weeks pregnant – Our baby is the size of a turnip My first challenge this week was working out what a rutabaga was. Apparently it’s a turnip. 🙂 Bob didn’t want to try the turnip this week. I told her that we would cook it and then it would taste nice but she still wasn’t interested. Instead she wanted to sing The Amazing Turnip. I used to read this story as a child but I knew [click here to read on]

Pregnancy Diaries - 25 Weeks

Written on the 15th June I have still been struggling with acid reflux and sickness but this time I seem to be able to control it with diet and medication. Fingers crossed!  Although I am on the same medication as last time I have been told to take it in a different way. When I was pregnant with Bob I was told I could take up to 2 tablets as and when required. By the time I took the tablet [click here to read on]

The Size Of An Ear Of Corn

Pregnancy Catch Up 24 weeks pregnant – Our baby is the size of an ear of corn Bob loves sweetcorn so I didn’t have a challenge getting her to eat this week’s vegetable. She loves it so much that I have to be careful if I am making tuna and sweetcorn pasta for lunch. She always asks if she can help me and I let her add the ingredients to the bowl. If I turn my back whilst she is [click here to read on]

Pregnancy Diaries - 24 Weeks

Written on the 8th June When I was pregnant with Bob I suffered with terrible acid reflux and at 30 weeks pregnant I was hospitalised because of it. This week I have started with terrible heartburn and acid reflux. I rang the doctors and they were great! I popped in and spoke to the receptionist and she said she would get a doctor to ring me. They looked back on my notes and prescribed me the medication that I was [click here to read on]

The Size Of A Canteloupe

Pregnancy Catch Up 23 weeks pregnant – Our baby is the size of a canteloupe As I mentioned last week, I have rejigged the fruit for this week as I couldn’t find a papaya anywhere. A canteloupe should really be used as a size comparison when you are 24 weeks pregnant. As I had 2 options for 24 weeks and no options for 22 weeks I arranged the fruit that I had available in size order. Bob loves melon! Her [click here to read on]

Pregnancy Diaries - 23 Weeks

Written on the 1st June One of my best friends is getting married on the 12th of September. This is 2 weeks before my due date and I am a bridesmaid. When we were searching for dresses I couldn’t get the image of the other 2 bridesmaids in beautiful dresses and myself in dungarees out of my head! Yesterday we went to my friend’s house to try our dresses on. I was very pleased to see that mine fit me! [click here to read on]

The Size Of a Grapefruit

Pregnancy Catch Up 22 weeks pregnant – Our baby is the size of a grapefruit I have had to re-jiggle the fruit for the next couple of weeks. This week our baby is the size of a papaya but I haven’t been able to find a papaya anywhere. Maybe they are out of season or maybe Skipton had something against them. I had 2 suitable fruits/vegetables for when I am 24 weeks pregnant. I decided to use both of those [click here to read on]
