Share A Smile - Chocolate

Yesterday we got the train to Leeds to meet our friend. I told Bob we were going for a grown up girl’s day out and at first she was unsure as there was no mention of a play area. She soon came around to the idea as she started to realise that grown up girl’s days out revolved mainly around food and treats. 🙂 She had hot chocolate at the station whilst we waited for our train, lunch in a [click here to read on]

A Higgidy Picnic

I have heard of higgidy pies before but I haven’t tried them. When we were asked if we would like to sample some of their products and see how suitable they are for picnics I looked forward to trying them. The supermarkets in my local town didn’t stock them but after looking on their website I found a stockist nearby. Bob and I went to buy a selection of their pies and quiches and we planned to go on a [click here to read on]

Organising Our Finances

It is no secret that my husband and I have been a bit silly in the past. We have borrowed quite a bit of money and have had to literally pay for our silliness. Luckily we are coming to a point where things are starting to look up. My car is now all mine! That really makes me smile! Michael’s car is also all his but he drives a shed. 🙂 Don’t feel too sorry for him! He loves his [click here to read on]

The Size Of A Turnip

Pregnancy Catch Up 25 weeks pregnant – Our baby is the size of a turnip My first challenge this week was working out what a rutabaga was. Apparently it’s a turnip. 🙂 Bob didn’t want to try the turnip this week. I told her that we would cook it and then it would taste nice but she still wasn’t interested. Instead she wanted to sing The Amazing Turnip. I used to read this story as a child but I knew [click here to read on]

Nude Food Review

We worked with Nude Food last year and we are still using the products that they sent. They are great as there is no need for extra packaging. Bob’s nursery prided itself on being an Eco school. When they went on a school trip they set is the challenge of packing an Eco lunch. They asked if we could use reusable or biodegradable packaging. The nude food containers were perfect! When they asked if we would like to work together [click here to read on]

Financial Nesting

Baby number 2 will be arriving in the next few weeks and, besides making me think about how much I need to tidy up/organise things, it has also made me think about our future. Soon we will have 2 little ones who will be dependent on us and as well as making sure they have everything they need as they are growing up I also want to be able to help out with things when they are older. Thinking about [click here to read on]
